If your current home is no longer suitable for your circumstances or if you are considering moving to another property then please always contact us first. We may be able to help you with alternative accommodation or perhaps address any other issues you may have. You can contact our Customer Service Centre who will arrange for you to discuss your situation with a Housing Officer, telephone: 01642 261100

Transfers

It may be possible to register for a transfer from one Tees Valley Housing Ltd property to another. For more information on where we have properties visit our Property Search page.

Or contact your Housing Officer or Customer Services on 01642 261100 who will be happy to discuss this with you.

Mutual Exchanges

Another option if your present accommodation is no longer suitable for your housing requirements is to make an application to Mutually Exchange. This is where tenants swap their current home with either another Tees Valley Housing Ltd tenant or a tenant with another Housing Association or Local Authority.

To Terminate your Tenancy with Tees Valley Housing Ltd.

If we are still unable to help you and you still wish to terminate your tenancy then you must:

'Golden Goodbye' Scheme

Tees Valley Housing Ltd are now operating a ‘Golden Goodbye’ Scheme. The aim of this Scheme is to reward outgoing tenants for terminating their tenancy correctly. The reward is in the form of a £25 gift voucher.

To qualify for the ‘Golden Goodbye’, tenants must:
