Branching Out With More Affordable Homes

A TEES VALLEY based landlord is set to expand its business even further.

Tees Valley Housing, which owns properties from a region spanning from North Tyneside in the north to York in the south, has extended its portfolio into Gateshead.

The company has purchased eight properties on a contemporary new development at Staiths South Bank in the town, just minutes from Gateshead Quays and Newcastle Quayside.

The homes, three three bedroom houses, three two bedroom houses and two two bedroom apartments, all individual, stylish and modern, offer an exciting new opportunity for couples and families to purchase their very own home.

The homes will be available to rent in the short term, allowing householders to save for a deposit and secure a mortgage, so that they can buy the home they are living in and get a foot firmly on the housing ladder.

Martin Hawthorne, Director of Development and Regeneration for Fabrick, the parent company of Tees Valley Housing, said: "We are looking at a totally flexible situation here. These are fabulous homes and we are offering them to families who want to rent now and save a deposit so they can buy later. It's a really great deal."

Staiths South Bank sits on a 40 acre site on the banks of the River Tyne and is set against the backdrop of the famous Tyne Bridge and the Gateshead Millennium Bridge.
The design of the site included input from designer Wayne Hemingway and incorporates the largest new-build Home Zone supported by the Department of Transport. 'Home Zone' is a clearly marked residential area where the roads are used for a range of activities besides driving.
The development is designed around three courtyards, all individual in style, providing private, semi-private and public spaces. The provision of seating, play and barbeque areas, cycle paths and stores, all lead to a vibrant, community feel to this contemporary development
