Family Services
Tees Valley Family services operate in Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland and Stockton-on-Tees.
The Redcar and Cleveland family support service aims to provide family support to address the complex needs of families with multiple problems. This will be done using a whole family approach with the support being delivered in the family home or at the accommodation based unit.
The Intensive Intervention Project (IIP) is a project for young people aged ten to 19 living in Middlesbrough area that are causing anti-social behaviour, involved in criminal activity and have multiple support needs.
The projects use a variety of approaches to challenge families/young people regarding their negative behaviour and multiple problems and provide intensive support and positive intervention. Partnership working and providing a seamless service is key to the success of these projects. The aim is to facilitate a change in families/young peoples behaviour to improve future prospects, to enable them to positively contribute to their local community and build emotional resilience.
